My Pledge



Your wedding is a big deal to you. It's a lot of money to spend and as events go, it's probably the biggest one you'll ever be the guest of honor at. I'm a perfectionist about your wedding reception. It's just too important to mess up. When you work with an owner operated smaller dj service, you get the attention you deserve. Every wedding reception I do gets my full attention. I'm not on the cell phone while your having a bridal dance, out having a smoke or rolling in just in the nick of time to announce you into the room after leaving my "day job" -- you're it. Your event is, believe it or not, as important to me as it is to you.



"MY PLEDGE"

  • You'll deal with me from the first meeting to the final dance. So nobody will give me their version of your vision. I'll get it right from the source - you, my bride or groom. You'll have my cell number to call anytime you need me.
  • You will have me at your event location at least 1.5 hours before it starts. No excuses - flat tires, engine trouble, bad traffic - no excuses period. In fact I am usually set up 120 minutes before start time, unless I am decorating the night prior to your event.
  • You will hear all your agreed upon music requests
  • You won't hear something you told me not to play!
  • All my audio gear, will be professionally presented. That means, neat and with the cords tied/hidden, case lids tucked away and NO giant distracting banners or signs! ONLY YOU will know you hired "Bargain DJ" as far as your guests know..YOU PAID A FORTUNE TO GET ME!
  • You will hear the announcements, not crackles and pops. My equipment will perform properly. If for some odd reason it does not, I'll immediately plug in my back up gear.I have been as professional musicIan for many years playing over 300 live shows! You will NOT find another DJ with that kind of "On the fly" technical experience..PERIOD!
  • You will see me wearing the appropriate attire to your event. At weddings I wear black  slack pants with matching Cubavera Shirt. This is comfortable as well as professional looking.
  • I promise NOT TO WEAR A TUX!..SOME DJ’s overdress for weddings... The Groom should be the best dressed man, not the DJ!
  • You will see me dedicated to my task. I won't be talking on my cell phone during your event or texting friends and family. I am fully present to serving your needs. The success of your event is my mission and the ONLY way to guarantee that is for me to "man the station" at all times!
  • It should go without saying but I figured I would mention it because sadly many dj's consider it a perk. I won't be drinking alcohol during your event, or taking “smoke” breaks. I am there to work, not party! and if i have to take a "potty" break, my assistant will take the helm while I'm away!
  • I won't bring my family or children to your event, however I will bring an assistant to help me set-up, tear down, and usher tables as well as be a "GO BETWEEN" for you, your wedding party and your guests so I can stay focussed on the business at hand.
  • You will hear from me as agreed upon the week or two prior to your event to go over final wedding details. This ensures that we are "ALL on the same page". I treat your event like a "Broadway Production"...ensuring a seamless, flawless event is my only goal!
  • Another DJ won't end up doing your reception - if you book me, you get me. If for any reason i fall gravely ill, I will arrange a PRO DJ to cover for me, usually my step son or local DJ's I have worked with over the years. It's rare that this would happen, but you will be covered either way by an experienced, business professional.
  • You'll hear names pronounced correctly during introductions and throughout the night. I go over all names and announcements PRIOR to your event, just to be 100% sure I get it right the first time! I also ONLY use a "wired" microphone..NO WIRELESS MICS as they are NOT 100% reliable and tend to fade in or out and feedback occasionally. My microphones are the same as the professional concert musicians use.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT A "CLUB STYLE" DJ I AM A WEDDING DJ THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE!
I DO NOT SCRATCH, MIX TURNTABLES WITH MY ELBOWS, HOWEVER THE SOFTWARE I USE FEATURES THESE "TRICKS" MOSTLY THEY ARE UNECESSARY FOR WEDDING RECEPTIONS.
I DO NOT PLAY SILLY GAMES, BLOW UP INFLATABLE TOYS OR TRY TO EMBARRASS THE BRIDE OR GROOM WITH SILLY ANTICS OR REMARKS. I LEAVE THAT TO THE "NEWBIES"
MY DJ STYLE IS COMPLETELY PROFESSIONAL AND RATED PG!
IF YOU WANT A COMEDY ACT HIRE A COMEDIAN, IF YOU WANT A CLUB STYLE DJ CALL SOMEONE ELSE.
